The Looting of Logic

MYZeitgeist…entry001

As I watch and listen to Peter Joseph talk about The Zeitgeist Movement and The Venus Project, as I have watched his films and seen this lecture itself emerge, I am almost drawn to tears at the sheer thankfulness I feel that someone sees this insanity, the same as I do, the same as many see it every day, and finally has been able to hold us to our own beliefs and challenge us to realize the basic problem. Money.

I’ve long said it, I’ve long believed it and now it just feels good to know that I’m not wrong. When I see the presentation here, the progression of social awareness increasing, I want to hurry it along. Then I laugh and I realize I won’t have to. Soon, we’ll have no choice.

It will be the other side, the opposing side that will cause pain and try to force the movement back. It’s failures have become highly visible yet it’s strength will not be able to hold us back once so much momentum gets behind it. The information that has so far been acknowledged is not retractable. Once you’ve been introduced to the ideas and explanations it’s difficult to argue with, however people try. Joseph’s analysis of our inherently flawed system is, (excuse me for saying, yes I’m going to say it, I can’t help it, its almost mandatory)…It’s right on the money.

Last fall I was researching a project for a friend of mine and I discovered that a local prison in our area was privately owned for profit, by a foreign entity. When I found the actual owners or shareholders, I was then informed the corporation had over 25 other prisons contracted to them across Canada, the US and Austraila.

The local minimum security prison is being maintained and operated by a multi-national corporate service provider. I can’t say that this stunned me, but it does give an example of the very large and lucrative business human criminalization is. Is this part of the service industry that America thinks it’s so big on? This particular prison is supposed to house first offenders or hold prisoners incarcerated for less then felony offenses, and it’s for profit. So how does that work? Where does profit come from by way of criminal offenses and incarceration? Does the prison system work like a school in that the more bodies that occupy the space, the more money the state is obligated to provide them? I hope not, no, I know better. It’s much worse.

According to globalresearch.ca of Canada, the profits are coming from the prisoners, working for low wages, for other multinational corporations. Known as “competitive prison labor”. Big business has discovered how to tap into another type of slave labor here in the US, Canada and Australia, for the profitability of their products. The incentive to imprison us is higher than that of truly servicing our needs.

I can’t wait to see this madness end. It’s difficult to make jokes about this, so I won’t even try. I’m furious, because for years our leaders and the moral majority have made criminals out of cannabis smokers and dealers and now, because they are running out of money from income tax revenues and dirty gambling from the banks and insurance companies, they’ve decided to legalize medical marijuana in California and now New Jersey. Isn’t it interesting that the states with very high deficits are turning what used to be considered a criminal offense into a major revenue generator?

Fuck it! Let’s get high to help the economy. Of course to keep parents from being overly concerned about the rise of drug use, we’ll issue it only to the terminally ill and chronically sick. At least that’s what it’ll look like so all you moral monitors will remain satisfied. But, I know that it’ll be available to anyone who can answer the questionairre correctly at the clinic. As long as the weed doesn’t come from Mexico and or any illegal cartel, noted as terrorist organizations; as long as the stuff is US grown and regulated, they’ll sell as much of it as they can to anyone eventually. Mark my words.
